Confronted with doubt and feelings of emptiness, drunk with unhappiness and seeking to drown his sorrow, Barnabé experiences a curious metaphysical visitation; lightning strikes the spire of his church and a mysterious bird appears, forcing him to reconsider his life. What is his truth pointing him towards?

  • Jean-François Lévesque

    After studying traditional animation at Capilano College in Vancouver, Jean-François Lévesque returned to Montreal, where he worked primarily in advertising. In October 2004, he won the 17th edition of the Cinéaste recherché(e) competition, held by the NFB(National Film Board of Canada)’s French Animation Studio. During the resulting residency, he directed his first professional work, Le nœud cravate (The Necktie), which was selected to screen at more than 40 international festivals.
